Vcreate’s offer for Schools

Vcreate believe every child should have access to high quality, fun and creative dance experiences. We work with schools to provide curriculum based activity and after school dance clubs for primary and secondary pupils.

We provide a menu of support and delivery options that you can use to develop a bespoke package to help improve physical education, develop creativity, tackle obesity and improve wellbeing of children and young people in your school.

We will work with national targets and policies including:

  • Helping all children to enjoy an hour of physical activity every day
  • Improving the co-ordination of quality sport and physical activity programmes for schools

“There is strong evidence that regular physical activity is associated with numerous health benefits for children, The UK chief medical officers recommend that all children and young people should engage in moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity for at least 60 minutes every day”.

  • We want to improve the quality and impact of dance programmes and ensure all schools have access to this opportunity. We provide the support resource and training that to improve dance and arts in schools.

The offer will support every child to

  • Support wellbeing
  • Develop creativity
  • Build confidence and social interaction
  • Support children and young people who are less active and least engaged in the arts

Active Lessons

Active lessons bring subjects to life using physical and creative activity, making lessons more engaging whilst promoting health and wellbeing.  Vcreate can work with your school to develop a series of active lessons around curriculum topics and themes. Topics could include: Under the sea, Countries and cultures (ie. the haka), Sport and Games, Historical events and Literary characters.

Teacher CPD

Our CPD programme helps teachers explore themes across the curriculum and active ways of bringing lessons to life. We can provide lesson plans and creative ideas and help you find suitable music and resources to support your delivery. CPD can be delivered during school hours or as twilight sessions, depending on what best fits your school.

Dance Coaches

As well as Vanessa, we work with a number of experienced dance teachers, working in a range of styles, who can be bought in to run high quality, specialised dance activity at (something about competitive costs). Vcreate can provide dance coaches to deliver curricular and extra-curricular activity for all school ages and abilities.

Arts Award

Whether as part of your curriculum or as an after school club, Vcreate’s Arts Award programmes give your pupils the opportunity to gain new creative skills, develop their creativity and gain a nationally recognised qualification. The awards provide a foundation for children’s exploration into the arts, allowing them to widen their understanding of different art forms and to embrace and enjoy these together.

We are trained to deliver Arts Award at all five levels – Discover, Explore, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Get in touch to find out how Vcreate can bring Arts Award to your school.

Designed by schools for schools, the new Artsmark award was relaunched in 2015 to help schools enrich, develop and strengthen their arts and cultural provision – bring creativity, arts and culture to every classroom. Vcreate work closely with the The Mighty Creatives, the Artsmark local delivery partner for the East Midlands, and can offer a range of activites and experiences to develop the arts provision in your school.
