About Arts Award: Arts Award inspires young people to grow their arts and leadership talents: it’s creative, valuable and accessible.
Arts Award can be achieved at five levels, four qualifications and an introductory award
Discover: 20 guided learning hours (recommended) Arts Award Discover is an introductory award, designed for ages 5 and above, but is open to children and young people aged 25 and under.
- participating in arts activities
- researching artists and their work
- sharing their arts discoveries
Explore: Arts Award Explore is an Entry Level (Entry 3) qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is designed for ages 7 and above, but is open to children and young people aged 25 and under.
Bronze: 40 guided learning hours + 20 independent learning hours = 60 hours total qualification time (TQT) Bronze Arts Award is a Level 1 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is open to young people aged 11 to 25.
Silver Arts Award: Silver Arts Award is a Level 2 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is designed for ages 14 and above, but is open to young people aged 11 to 25.
Gold: Gold Arts Award is a Level 3 qualification on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and is designed for ages 16 and above, but is open to young people aged 11 to 25. The award has 16 points on the UCAS tariff.
Lady Bay School in school: We continue to deliver Arts Award Discover for Year 3 children at Lady Bay Primary School. We are able to work with your teachers to provide a bespoke, curriculum-based series of sessions resulting in an Arts Award certificate for all participates. We also provide teacher CPD, teaching resources and a range of workshops in school and after school.
